Tyler Brooks, the founder of A&B Productions, grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Bonneville High School, Ricks College, and Utah State University. His passion for music began early, with a fascination for drums that started in 4th grade. Inspired by bands like Rush, Boston and Van Halen, he formed a band with neighborhood friends. While in high school, a mentor encouraged Tyler to consider DJing—a career path he hadn’t thought of before. Intrigued, Tyler sold his 11-piece drum set in 1987, bought a local DJ company, and hasn’t looked back since.
In 1995, Tyler met Amy, who became his wife in 1996 and his greatest supporter. Together, they decided that Amy would stay home to raise their three children—Tyson, Makayla, and Sabrina. Their family has continued to grow, recently welcoming twin granddaughters, Beverly and Golden, a milestone that Tyler and Amy cherish deeply.
For Tyler, DJing is more than a career—it’s a passion. His first event, a car show, hooked him instantly. The adrenaline, the ever-changing nature of the industry, and the opportunity to connect with new people every week keep him excited about his work even after 37 years. Tyler thrives on challenges, enjoys meeting diverse crowds, and values the friendships he’s built with DJs and wedding professionals along the way.

- Hot Rod Enthusiast: Tyler inherited his love for old hot rods from his dad. After his father’s passing in 2013, he purchased his dad’s last project car, a 1922 Ford truck. Picture below.
